Abstract: Since CAD/CAM-technology has accessed zirconia frameworks for clinical application, long-term reliability of all-ceramic fixed dental protheses has significantly improved. However, the incidence of chipping of the veneering material is discussed as a drawback of these restorations. The lecture will present clinical study results and will provide solutions to prevent undesirable interventions.

Bio: Daniel Edelhoff is Tenured Associate Professor at the Department of Prosthodontics and Dental Material Sciences at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. He is board certified Specialist in Prosthodontics and is member of the managing committee of the German Association of Oral Implantology, and the advisory board of the German Society Dental Prosthetics and Material Sciences. He is Associate Member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.
