Abstract: It has been shown that mandibular 2-implant overdentures (opposed by conventional maxillary dentures) provide significant improvements over current standard conventional denture therapy. From a public health standpoint, this suggests that efforts should be made to enhance the transfer of this technology so that it becomes the new standard treatment.
